We are now a closed cattery of beautiful Sphynx Kittens. I had such an amazing experience in breeding my Sphynx Cats. All me cats have such wonderful personalities so all our kittens were little bundles of joy. I miss having little naked kittens but now I get to spoil my 4 big baby’s…along with our 3 dogs! We have a crazy big animal family and couldn’t be happier!

Well Huhoy never got pregnant. But we are in no hurry. So when and if she does is yet to come. We have had Monty for a while now. He is our future stud. He's absolutely amazing. His personality is great and hes such a love bug! As you can see Huhoy has got some fuzz on her. Well Monty has none! Hes just awesome. Just this week we adopted a new girl. Shes so precious! Since I have decided for my sphynx to become a Mother(Queen) I have been doing a ton of research. I am lucky to have a very good animal doctor near by that specialized in sphynx cats. She will need special loving during this time since she may be unsure of whats going on. I will need to assure her that everything is okay. I learned that it is best to wait for your Queen to be one year of age and has had two heat cycles. Which is perfect since she is 1 years old and has been in heat for months now. Pregnancy in cats , called the "gestation period", generally ranges from 60 to 67 days, with the average being 63 days. And you must excpect your Queen to have a larger appetite! I would suggest if you are thinking about breeding your cat that you do lots of research and check your local library or book store for special books that can inform you on everything you need to know. I know that's what I'll be doing(: If anybody has some good advise I would love to hear it. Thank you

After a lot of thought and research I have decided to breed my little girl. She is 1 year old now and ready to become a mommy. She will no longer be traveling back to Hawaii as that would be too much for her. This is my first Sphynx cat I have ever owned and Im in love with the breed. Like they say, "once you go sphynx you never go back!" It's true. And I couldnt imagine never owning another. So we will have kittens soon. Looking towards the month of October for them to be born. I will post pictures of her with her kittens when they arrive! This is going to keep me busy and I'm looking forward to taking care of a Queen and her kittens! Traveling with my Sphynx Cat!

I just had to add this picture of my kitten when she was on the plane. We were leaving Hawaii and going to California. It was actually not too hard to get her vaccinated to come to California. It will be harder to bring her back to Hawaii though. We just have to get a few more vaccinations. She's a champ when it comes to that stuff though(:

As you can see in the picture below, she is enjoying the fire place while in California since it is a bit colder than Hawaii. Ok wayyy colder haha. I cant wait to see her again. She will be much bigger I think. Aww my baby sphynx kitty is growing up!

I miss my little hairless baby

I'm traveling the world right now and it has been two months since I've seen my baby Sphynx Cat!!! She is in good hands though. Getting lots of love at my moms house. She is enjoying having another cat to play with. It's so hard being away from her. When I return home in August we will be going back to Hawaii. That is my cats home town(: My Sphynx cat love to travel on airplanes hehe shes the best! If you are a cat lover I recommend looking into the Hairless Sphynx Cats and kittens. They have the greatest most lovable personalities! You cant go wrong with a Sphynx kitten!

I cant believe how big she is getting! In just a few weeks we will be flying her to California. After living in Hawaii her whole life I hope it's not to cold for her. She will be living at my mothers house while me and my boyfriend travel for six months. Im sooo sad to leave her behind. Im going to miss her so much. She will be happy with another cat to run around with and lotts of people to spoil her!

My baby sphynx cat is soooo cute. I love her! I took her outside today and to the Cholos Mexican restaurant on the north shore. She saw chicken walking around outside and got to people watch. She really enjoyed being outside. I have her on a little harness and leash and she just sits on my lap. I'm going home to California for Christmas and am going to miss her so much. She will be in very good hand though with her daddy and my boyfriend. I have been in Hawaii since September and plan on moving back to Orange County CA in February. She of course will be traveling home with me to California. I'm sure my Hawaii baby will love her new home!

The Sphynx Personality

The Sphynx are extremely inquisitive and love to be the center of attention. They perform silly antics for your entertainment and are sometimes downright clumsy…on purpose it seems. They make great show cats because of this "look at me" attitude and they are easy for judges to handle. They prefer human attention but enjoy the company of dogs and other cats. They have an abundance of energy and mischief and are always with you, on you or showing off for you. "Love Mooch" is the perfect term for these amazing cats.

Bathing my sphynx cat

Because of the lack of hair that would normally absorb body oils, the Sphynx needs to be bathed periodically. This is not a difficult task with a cat that has been accustomed to a bath from kittenhood and it takes no time at all to dry a Sphynx.
I give my bebe a bath about once every two weeks. Well it depends on how dirty she gets. I put her in a sink or a bath tub. Most sphnx cats dont mind a bath at all! Just be calm and gentle with your hairless cat and you will find they like their bath after washing them. I clean her ears and toenails then I clip the nails! It is best to clip the nails after the bath because that is when they are softest.

Feeding Your Sphynx Cat

I am feeding my kitten dry Nutro Kitten food. I offer her wet canned food while she is young but she doesn't seem to like it. That is a good thing since wet food is not the best for keeping their teeth clean. As a treat she enjoys Kitten Greenies which are good to keep her teeth clean. You should be sure that your cat has fresh water to drink all the time, milk is thought to give cats diarrhea so its not a good idea to give it to them.

The Sphynx Cat will require approximately 80 Kcals of food per kg of bodyweight per day. They are not prone to obesity and tend to limit their dietary requirements themselves.

Kittens should have 4 small meals a day if they are younger than 12 weeks, gradually becoming 2 meals each day if they are over 12 weeks. You can feed your cat tinned or dried food, dried is less smelly...
